NORTHERN Tablelands MP Adam Marshall has today launched a new online community survey, aimed at helping inform the future direction of services and facilities in the electorate.
Mr Marshall said as the region emerged from the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic, he wanted to hear the community’s thoughts on what is needed to get the economy firing.
“The past three years have been a mixed bag – we have had our challenges but we have also had our successes,” Mr Marshall said.
“After such an overwhelming response to the online Voluntary Assisted Dying survey, I want to again hear from the public, this time to find out what priority areas the State Government and I should be focussing on.
“I’m keen to receive individual’s thoughts, feedback and possible solutions to the top issues in the various communities across the electorate.
“Whether it’s a shortage of local GPs, rural road conditions, the state of local parks – I want to hear about it.
“This is a rare opportunity to raise concerns about all level of government, local council, state or federal, and I’ll do my best to have all issues brought to my attention addressed appropriately.”
Mr Marshall added physical copies of the survey are now hitting mailboxes across the electorate’s six local government areas and Walcha.
“In just over a week there has been more than 200 responses to the community survey, providing invaluable feedback about the state of our communities,” he said.
“I want as many people as possible filling in this survey, and returning it free of charge using the reply paid details on the back.
“Please also don’t forget to include your details, should you wish to, so I can provide an update on the survey’s progress or a response to any matters raised with me.
“You can also directly access the online survey, by scanning the QR code on the newsletter.
“I thank everyone who takes the time to respond either online or in writing, and look forward to hearing exactly how people are feeling about our communities at this time.”
